PIACT names Sabo Company Person of the Year

HARTFORD, Conn.—The Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut named Michael Sabo, Company Person of the Year at the sixth annual CTYIP Industry-wide Golden Gala Awards Night at Fantasia in North Haven, CT. Sabo is a senior agency executive for Great American Insurance Group in Windsor, CT. 

The award, bestowed by PIACT, is given to an individual who fosters a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service.

Sabo has more than 30 years of experience in the insurance industry. He began his career as a field representative for PLM Insurance which has offices in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island. In his capacity as senior agency executive for Great American, Sabo covers territory in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York.

“Our members have grown to recognize Mike as a person who has a strong working relationship between his company and their agencies,” said Mark Connelly, CIC, PIACT president. “His commitment to the independent agency system is evident in the relationships he’s developed during his career. I am pleased to present him with this award.”  

PIACT is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
