Make sure your agency is counted in Week of Giving, Oct. 8-15

Every PIA member knows community service is a cornerstone of the professional, independent agency. Rarely, however, is this recognized when media or others discuss insurance. Help PIA and The Insurance Industry Charitable Foundation quantify and publicize our industry’s enormous community contribution.

IICF Week of Giving is an annual, industrywide volunteer event designed to make sure the substantial community service our industry contributes is counted. This year, the IICF’s annual Week of Giving takes place Oct. 8-15, 2016.

Now is the time to get a group together from your agency to participate in this industrywide event. There isn’t a team size requirement. Projects throughout the week can accommodate anywhere from one to five volunteers to up to 300 volunteers at a time.

Don’t have time to leave the office? Some projects can be completed at your agency (e.g., coat drive, collection of party items for children in a hospital or a nonperishable food item drive).
