PIACT Committee Liaison


CTYIP is encouraged to provide liaisons to PIACT committees.  These individuals represent the 
interests of the 
young insurance professionals members, and provide input on actions and initiatives of PIACT.  This 
appointment 
ensures continuity of communication between both organizations, with a shared goal of working closer 
together as 
one PIA team.

As liaison to a PIACT committee, your responsibilities include:

1) Reporting to the PIA committee any relevant CTYIP activities.  Every effort should be made to have 
a written 
report of actions and issues prepared for the PIA committee.
 
2) Participate as an active PIA committee member.  Information, ideas or opinions should be shared 
with members 
of the committee.  You are not there just to represent CTYIP.
 
3) Look for opportunities for CTYIP to be involved in and/or identify projects in which CTYIP can 
play an active 
role.  This should be discussed with the respective CTYIP committee chair before committing the 
organization to 
an action.
 
4) Provide a report to the CTYIP Board of Directors and the respective CTYIP committee regarding 
issues/actions 
discussed at the PIA committee meeting.

Attendance at these meetings is mandatory.  If you are unable to attend, please let CTYIP staff know 
in advance so 
that a replacement can be sent in your place.
