Sununu signs emergency order to offer financial support to health care system

Gov. Chris Sununu issued Emergency Order # 9 to establish an emergency health care relief fund immediately. This order, issued on March 19, ensures that all aspects of the New Hampshire health care system have resources to operate, and promote the safety of the people of New Hampshire. 

Sununu gave the fund the authority to distribute up to $50 million, in the form of grants or loans, as approved by the governor and the attorney general. Those seeking relief can apply through the Department of Health and Human Services. According to the order, the governor may waive the criteria and grant immediate relief if deemed immediately necessary.
