Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals elect officers and directors at Annual Convention

HARTFORD, Conn.–Officers of the Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals were elected today during the Professional Insurance Agents of Connecticut Inc.s Annual Convention, at Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn.

• Shannon Rabbett, CIC, of The Rabbett Insurance Agency in Windsor, Conn., will serve as president;
• Dana McKinney, of Hybrid Insurance Group in Hartford, Conn., will serve as vice president.
• Allyson Kataja of ServiceMaster by Wills in New London, Conn., will serve as treasurer.
• Nicholas Ruickoldt of The Russell Insurance Agency in Southport, Conn., will serve as secretary.

CTYIP also elected to its board of directors to serve two-year terms expiring in 2014: Stephen Bennett of SERVPRO of Manchester-Bolton, in Manchester, Conn.; Angela Brunetti, CIC, CISR, of the Distel Group in Farmington, Conn.; Dana McKinney, of Hybrid Insurance Group in Windsor, Conn.; Don Perillo, Glass America, New London, Conn.; Lauren Raymond of CT Underwriters, Middletown, Conn.; and Nickolas Ruickoldt of the Russell Insurance Agency in Southport, Conn.

Also elected to the board of directors for one-year terms expiring in 2013 are: Sean Hallihan of The Olderman & Hallihan Agency Inc., in Ansonia, Conn.; Shannon Rabbett, CIC, of the Rabbett Insurance Agency in Windsor, Conn.; and Allyson Kataja of ServiceMaster by Wills in New London, Conn.

The Connecticut Young Insurance Professionals is an organization dedicated to the professional and personal growth of newcomers to the insurance industry. It is an affiliate of PIACT, a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
