Harris receives Professional Agent of the Year from PIANJ

TRENTON, N.J.—Andrew Harris Jr., CIC, AAI, of Jackson Township, N.J., received the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey’s Professional Agent of the Year during the association’s annual business meeting on June 9 at Harrah’s in Atlantic City. Harris is president of Liberty Insurance Associates Inc., in Millstone Township, N.J.

Active in PIANJ, Harris was elected secretary of the association for 2019-20. Harris also is Legislative/Regulatory chairperson of PIANJ’s Government Affairs Committee and is a member of the association’s Executive/Budget & Finance; PIANJ Political Action Governing Committees. Additionally, Harris is a member of NJ Agents Justice Task and is a director of PIANJ’s New Jersey Young Insurance Professionals—an organization dedicated to the professional and personal growth of newcomers to the insurance industry—and co-chair of the Special Olympics Golf Committee.

In 2018, Harris was named PIANJ’s Director of the Year. The award recognizes an agent who exemplifies the qualities and actions that serve as a model of excellence in the insurance industry.

In his community, Harris is an avid supporter of both the Monmouth County American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and Make-a-Wish of New Jersey. He also is a volunteer for IEP Youth Services in Freehold, N.J.

PIANJ is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
