DeStasio elected PIANJ vice president

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J.—Michael DeStasio Jr. of Iselin, N.J., was elected vice president of the Professional Insurance Agents of New Jersey today at the association’s annual business meeting at Harrah’s Resort and Casino in Atlantic City. DeStasio is senior vice president of Assured Partners of New Jersey in Cranford, N.J.

DeStasio is an active member of PIANJ, serving as treasurer of the association in 2017-18 and secretary in 2016-17. He also is a member of the Legislative/Business Issues and Executive/Budget & Finance committees. DeStasio also is a member of the PIANJ Political Action Committee, serving as its treasurer. He also is a member of the association’s Carrier Advisory Council.

Active in the industry, DeStasio is a member of the New Jersey Commercial Auto Insurance Plan Governing Committee and the Union County Ethics Committee. In his community, DeStasio is an assistant scout master for The Scouts of America.

PIANJ is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies, brokerages and their employees throughout the state.
