PIANJ honors Capone as Company Person of the Year

ATLANTIC CITY.—Gary J. Capone, CPCU, ARM, vice president of field services for Franklin Mutual Insurance Co. in Branchville, N.J. was awarded the New Jersey Professional Insurance Agents’ Company Person of the Year at its Annual Conference held at Harrah’s Resort and Casino in Atlantic City, June 9-11. Nominated by PIA member agents, this award is presented to an individual who fosters a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service.

With over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, Capone began his career in insurance in 1983, working at the Ronzel Agency managing its personal lines division. He went on to join FMI in 1990 where he was a field representative until 2000, then becoming manager of field services. Active in the industry, Capone participates as a New Jersey delegate for the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies Congressional Contact Program.

“Our members have grown to recognize Gary as a person who has a strong working relationship between his company and their agencies,” said Lloyd ‘Rip’ Bush, CPIA, PIANJ’s outgoing president. “His commitment to the independent agency system is evident in the relationships he’s developed across the state. PIANJ is pleased to present him with this award.”  

PIANJ is a trade association representing professional, independent insurance agencies and their employees throughout the state.
