Bill introduced in House requiring proof of motor vehicle liability insurance
A bill, H.B. 613, that would require proof of auto insurance when registering a vehicle, was introduced in the House Commerce and Consumer Affairs Committee on Tuesday, Feb. 5. The legislation would amend current law to require proof of motor vehicle liability insurance when registering a vehicle. The insurance would be checked for its validity for the duration of the registration period or longer. No action was reported on this bill as of this publication.
