Lyon is the founder and principal of Lyon Consulting Services LLC, an independent consulting and educational firm. He utilizes his 35 years of expertise and experience associated with owning, operating and managing an independent insurance agency in northern New Jersey. In addition, Lyon has served as the regional director of education and regional vice president in charge of personal lines for the insurance division of a dynamic banking institution. He has earned his Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Certified Insurance Counselor, Certified Risk Managers, Accredited Adviser in Insurance, Associate in Risk Management, Associate in Insurance Services, Construction Risk Insurance Specialist and Management Liability Insurance Specialist designations. Lyon conducts more than 150 insurance-related classes each year for agencies and companies throughout the U.S. He works regularly with the Professional Insurance Agents of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and New Hampshire along with the Society of CIC. His fast-paced, unique teaching style, makes him a favorite among seminar attendees.

CIC
Mark is currently employed as a Commercial Underwriter & Marketing Representative with the Oswego County Mutual Insurance Company of Parish, NY. Mark received his Certified Insurance Counselor designation in 1995 and obtained his Certificate of General Insurance in 1991. Mark continues to maintain a valid New York State insurance broker's license and has been an active instructor for CIC and CISR institutes since 2001. He is the Educational Consultant for CIC institutes conducted in New York and current resides in Hastings, NY.

Dr. Victor Puleo is the Davey Chair of Risk Management and Insurance in the Lacy School of Business at Butler University, Indianapolis, IN. He earned a doctorate degree in risk management and insurance at Florida State University. Dr. Puleo has articles published in the Journal of Insurance Issues, Risk Management and Insurance Review, Managerial Finance, and Best's Review.The Davey Risk Management and Insurance Program at Butler University equips students with a variety of experiential education - including two required for-credit internships. Butler University's College of Business is the top-ranked business school in the country for internships according to Bloomberg Businessweek's rankings. Highlights of the Davey Risk Management and Insurance Program include the first-of-its-kind student-run captive insurance company, lifelong career mentors, two required for-credit internships, student attendance at national and regional industry events, classroom case studies, and an elite chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma - the international collegiate insurance, risk management and actuarial student fraternity. Dr. Puleo is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He is an Educational Consultant (1994) and National Faculty Member (2008) for the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors. Dr. Puleo is a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of The National Alliance Research Academy. Prior to being named the Davey Chair of Risk Management and Insurance, Dr. Puleo was an Associate Professor of Insurance and Risk Management at the University of Central Arkansas (UCA), Conway, AR. The insurance and risk management undergraduate degree program at UCA is nationally ranked. Students from UCA were the first in the country to be conferred the University Associate Certified Insurance Counselor (UACIC) designation. The UACIC designation was created to give college students pursuing an insurance and risk management undergraduate degree the opportunity to attain a new level of professionalism through advanced practical education while in college. This designation is a program of the National Alliance Research Academy.

Richard S. Pitts is Vice President and General Counsel to Arlington/Roe & Co., Inc., an insurance brokerage and managing general agent headquartered in Indianapolis. Rick also serves as general counsel to the Independent Insurance Agents of Indiana, Inc. As Counsel to the "Big I," Rick speaks annually at the association's Agency Compliance Seminars and teaches various seminars on insurance and employment related matters. Rick also has presented continuing education seminars to insurance professionals nationally.
Rick is a 1983 graduate of Wabash College and a 1986 graduate of the Indiana University McKinney School of Law. He clerked for the Honorable Patrick D. Sullivan, a judge of the Indiana Court of Appeals in 1986-87. Rick is admitted to practice before Indiana state and federal courts, the United States Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and is a member of local, state, and national bar associations. He has tried cases and participated in over seventy appeals.
Rick has served as a panelist and lecturer on a variety of continuing education subjects, including cyber-related risks, the Americans with Disabilities Act, "Mold: Issues Under the Microscope" for the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum (ICLEF), and "Insurance Issues for Builders" for the Indiana Builders Association. Rick has also served as chair of several ICLEF seminars, including "Advanced Corporate Practice," "Privacy Law," and "Insurance Coverage Issues." Rick has also presented seminars on "Insuring Fiduciary Exposures," "Insurance Coverage Disputes," and "Agency Succession and Perpetuation." He has co-authored articles appearing in the Indiana Law Review.
