PIANY past President Jamie Ferris, CIC, CRM, AAI, CPIA, and president of P.W. Wood & Son Inc., in Ithaca; and PIA Northeast Director of Government & Industry Affairs Bradford J. Lachut, Esq., met with Abigail Melendez, deputy legislative director, for Sen. Lea Webb, D-52, as part of the PIANY 2024 District Office Visit program.

PIANY is working on behalf of professional, independent agents, their businesses, and the clients they serve for the passage of a comprehensive legislative agenda in 2024, which includes:  

• standardizing the definition of windstorm;
• repealing the anti-arson application requirement in New York City;
• excess-line reform; and
• no-fault reform.
