Representatives from the Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc., met with their local legislators as part of the PIANY 2024 District Office Visit program.
The PIANY members met with Isaiah James-Walker, legislative director, for Sen. Jamaal Bailey, D-35; Sunju Raybeck, legislative director for Sen. Iwen Chu, D-17; Bryan Best, legislative director, for Sen. Simcha Felder, D-22; Alex Porco, senior advisor, for Sen. Nathalia Fernandez, D-34; with Levi Jenkins JD, senior advisor, for Sen. Toby Ann Stavisky, D-11; Anthony Jenouri, legislative fellow, for Sen. Michael Gianaris, D-12; and Lisa DellAwuila, chief of staff, for Sen. John Liu, D-16.
PIANY is working on behalf of professional, independent agents, their businesses, and the clients they serve for the passage of a comprehensive legislative agenda in 2024, which includes:
- standardizing the definition of windstorm;
- repealing the anti-arson application requirement in New York City;
- excess-line reform; and
- no-fault reform.
Through this series of meetings, PIANY was represented by:
