This course will serve as a primer for cybersecurity—at the state and national level. Irvine will discuss Connecticut’s new cyber security law, focusing on licensees requirements, before and after a breach. In addition, she will explain what other states are doing regarding cybersecurity and how it will impact Connecticut insurance producers. Finally, she will examine the increasing use of cyber security contractual provisions in agency agreements.

Finally, Lachut will examine the type of losses a typical cyber liability policy will cover and how cyber liability policies differ from similar policies.
