Technologic advances are changing every aspect of the insurance industry—affecting the products insurance companies dynamically develop and underwrite. They also are affecting how agents interact with current and prospective clients and how claims are handled. This class will help you to understand how this will impact your ability to provide proper risk assessment for your clients, and effectively integrate those processes and procedures—through your staff—into your client interactions.

Errors & Omissions–Avoiding Coverage Gaps^UN^FF

2:30–5:30 p.m.
Approved for 3 NYCE credits. Applicable to ALL licenses. (NYCR-274132)
Sponsored by ELANY

The insurance industry’s greatest obstacle to overcome is the ignorance of consumers as to how their insurance coverage protects them in case a claim needs to be filed. The recognition of this issue—and the opportunity it presents for agents to update client information and add value to individual accounts through a thoughtful and methodical review process—is critical to overcoming that knowledge gap. We will examine the most common exposures and how a systematic process can help agents respond to possible gaps in coverage changes and minimize your agency’s errors-and-omissions exposure(s). We will discuss some of the most effective methods in both uncovering these issues, as well as how to position solutions to meet the clients’ needs.
